19th century Stables Market trade sign. Hand painted and dated 1854 featuring a horse and rider in the center oval with a house and tree embellishing the background. Originally constructed from two boards. A wood batten and a metal brace joining the two pieces together are not original to the sign, but added later in its history. (see the reverse image for details) This is a very rare sign which we purchased privately from an old New England collection. Some very minor paint loss mostly in the lower left quadrant. Size: 31 x 26. Inventory number 24-729.

Mid-century, Artistic Carving Co, Boston, Mass eagle with shield wall plaque. This is a form not often produced by this company and remains in excellent untouched condition with no loss or repairs. The colors are very strong and it projects well on the wall. Size: 21 x 21.5 overall. Inventory number 24-863.

Double sided, non folding, backgammon/checkers game board. While it does have some paint loss, likely from use or mis-use, it still has bright pleasing colors that will make it a stand-out addition to your collection. Measuring about 18" square, it remains original and untouched. Inventory number 24-805.

$1450. INQUIRE

19th century ships caulking hammer. We are not anywhere close to being known as a tool dealer, but when we saw this in its original blue paint, it was love at first sight. Our opinion is it was never used a great deal as other examples we've seen have a huge amount of use and wear. We would call the wear on this very mild. Size: 18 x 12. Inventory number 24-689.

Price: $575. INQUIRE
